MILLER 8195/150FTWH 150' Half-Inch Braided Rope is required for use with the MILLER 8113 Manual Descent Device. The MILLER 8113 Manual Descent Device is designed for a variety of applications where smooth, controlled descent from an elevated position is required. The MILLER Descent Device is a simple single-person operational device where the rope control handle allows the user to easily descend the rope line from an elevated position. The MILLER Descent Device operates on the principle of friction created by the work line sliding through the helical grooved contour of the aluminum mandrel. The speed of descent depends on the number of times the work line is wrapped around the mandrel and the manual tension applied to the end of the line by the user. The number of wraps to be used is determined by the weight of the person or the object to be lowered and the desired rate of descent. This Descent Device can be locked into position to create a stationary hands-free work environment. The MILLER Bos'n Chair (P/N: 6004NS) and the MILLER 150' Descent Device (P/N: 8113) create a complete MILLER Descent System when used together. Fall protection, the MILLER Bos'n Chair and the MILLER Manual Descent Device are sold separately. MILLER 150' Descent Ropes sold each.
