The MILLER 8113 Manual Descent Device is designed for a variety of applications where smooth, controlled descent from an elevated position is required. The MILLER Descent Device is a simple single-person operational device where the rope control handle allows the user to easily descend the rope line from an elevated position. The MILLER Descent Device operates on the principle of friction created by the work line sliding through the helical grooved contour of the aluminum mandrel. The speed of descent depends on the number of times the work line is wrapped around the mandrel and the manual tension applied to the end of the line by the user. The number of wraps to be used is determined by the weight of the person or the object to be lowered and the desired rate of descent. This Descent Device can be locked into position to create a stationary hands-free work environment. The MILLER Bos'n Chair (P/N: 6004NS) and the MILLER 150' Descent Rope (P/N: 8195150) create a complete MILLER Descent System when used with the MILLER Descent Device. Fall protection, the MILLER Bos'n Chair and the MILLER 150' Descent Rope are sold separately. MILLER Manual Descent Devices sold each.
*This device must be ordered with MILLER 150' Descent Rope (P/N: 8195150)*
